CULTURE. ITALY
Comunità Montana Valle del Samoggia - IT is looking for partners
for the project Sharing European Memories to be submitted within next
Culture 2007 deadline. The project intends to start a process of raising
youngsters’ awareness towards the historical memory of the older generations
which – in different European locations – experienced the Second World
War. By means of representations of experienced events in real places,
researches and surveys, interviews, laboratories and activities with
schools and spokesmen of ‘memory’ (the elderly people), the project
SEME intends to put in contact new and old generations of the involved
member states, to highlight the cultural approaches and the abilities
of the people which participated to the Second World War. The project
will favour the reflection on the big divisions which created the
grounds for an Europe fostering citizenship, peace, democracy and
tolerance.
